My big fat Vegan Family.

My Family is... well a normal family. I've got the embarrassing dad, a crazy mom who decided to have another kid thirteen years after me that ended up being twins (They are the cutest kids in the world so i don't mind), and of course my older brother that i bicker with constantly. All of us except for my older brother Ryan are vegans. My mom and I are the only ones who are a little crazy about it. When Kadyn and Kohlton (the twins) go to school we can't really help it if they trade their vegan lunch for their friend's lunch. As for my dad he thinks it's a little unnecessary but he understands how important it is to us so he usually doesn't complain about dinner, and although I'd like to think he sticks to the vegan lifestyle at work I can't promise anything. I've been a vegetarian for over two years now and it all started just as a challenge to see if I could do it. That slowly morphed into a fight for animal rights. I decided at the beginning of this summer i was going vegan, meaning no meat, no eggs, no dairy, and no animal by-products. It interested my mom and she started reading about it. After about a zillion books she made the switch, and since she makes dinner so did the rest of my family. We love it! People always make stupid comments like "I could never be a vegan. All you eat is lettuce and tofu." That is FAR from the truth. I personally don't even like tofu and I only eat it at P.F. Changs. We eat very well actually. Tonight, for example, were eating vegan sushi, and let me tell you, it is DELICIOUS! If a vegan, a vegetarian, or even just a plant-based lifestyle interests you do a little bit of research and see if its right for you. Most of the food is healthier and just as yummy!

Love,
Schyler Rae :)
